Edward “Ted” O’Byrne joined Carlyle Aviation Partners as Managing Director and Co-Head of Aviation in 2019 after 11 years with AerCap, where he most recently served as Chief Investment Officer in charge of portfolio management, aircraft trading and OEM relations. During his tenure, he participated in some of the largest transactions in the industry, including the acquisition of ILFC from AIG in 2014. Prior to joining AerCap, Ted held several commercial functions at Airbus.

He has held senior positions at Fortis Aviation Group, IBA Group, Republic Financial and RPK Capital and was elected Chairman of The Aviation Club of the UK in 2018.

Richard Moody

Richard joined Deutsche Bank in 2007 with specific responsibility for developing and growing the aviation business in particular in N America, Europe and the Middle East, in order to offer new and existing clients fully integrated financing solutions. In 2012, Richard was appointed to his new role as Global Co-Head of Transportation. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, Richard was with RBC Capital Markets in London where he was Head of Aviation and Transportation within its Global Debt Finance business.

Valter Fernandes

As of January 2018, Valter was appointed Managing Director of Portugália Airlines. His career in Aviation began in 2001 when he joined TAP – Portugal as a Project Manager. In 2005 he was Aircraft Base Maintenance General Manager and in January 2009 he joined TAP M&E Brazil as a Strategy Consultant for Brazil Operation. By 2010 to 2016, he was nominated the Executive Vice President of Operations for TAP M&E Brazil.

Bryan K Bedford

Bryan Bedford joined Republic in July 1999 as president and CEO. Previously, he served as president and CEO of Mesaba Holdings in Minneapolis, as well as Business Express Airlines in Boston. During his years at the helm of Republic, the airline has grown from $85 million in revenues and 36 turboprop aircraft to more than $1.3 billion in revenues and an operating fleet of nearly 200 Ejet aircraft.

Anne-Bart founded GA-Finance in 2002, which became TrueNoord in 2016. He realized his ambition to create a company that combined his experience in financial management with his love of aviation, by creating GA-Finance in Amsterdam, having previously worked for Deutsche Bank.

Philippe Poutissou

Philippe Poutissou joined De Havilland Aircraft of Canada (De Havilland Canada) as Vice President, Sales and Marketing, in June 2019, following Bombardier’s sale of the Dash 8 aircraft program to De Havilland Canada’s parent company, Longview Aviation Capital. Before joining De Havilland Canada, Philippe was Head of Strategy & Marketing at Elix Aviation Capital. Prior to joining Elix, Philippe spent 19 years with Bombardier Aerospace in Engineering, Airline Analysis and Marketing roles, and served as Bombardier Commercial Aircraft’s Vice President of Marketing from 2008 to 2014.

Sean Cleghorn is a co-founder and partner of Magi. An aircraft finance and operating lease specialist, he has worked across the business with a particular focus on origination, aircraft operating leasing and aircraft management. Sean has worked for major aircraft finance banks, lessors and airlines during his career including NatWest Leasing; BTM; Bankgesellschaft Berlin; SALE (now BOCA); Pegasus Aviation; and TUI Travel.

Christian Mailly

Christian joined Dr. Peters Group in 2009. Heading Dr. Peters aviation division, DS Aviation, he is responsible for developing, expanding and coordinating the group’s aviation activities. Christian commenced his career 26 years ago at Commerzbank, where he held various positions in Frankfurt and Paris. In 2004 he joined HSH Nordbank, where he subsequently, headed all HSH Nordbank’s aviation equity fund projects.

Nathan Riggs

Nathan Riggs joined Aergo Capital as a Senior Vice President in 2017 from Pacific AirFinance where he spent five years as a Principal of the company. Prior to Pacific AirFinance, Nathan served as a Senior Vice President with Aircastle. Nathan also worked as a Senior Financial Analyst with Triton Aviation and started his career as a Portfolio Management Analyst with Fischer Francis Trees & Watts, a New York City based institutional money management firm.

Richard Jacobs

A graduate of the faculty of Aeronautical Engineering in Delft, Richard started his career in 1992 with Fokker Aircraft, as an accident investigator. He went on to work for Fokker Services as Vice President for Marketing & Sales and later became Managing Director of Mass Lease and Fleet Manager for the affiliated regional airlines VLM Airlines and Denim Air. Richard joined TrueNoord in January 2018, bringing with him his broad insight and experience in the regional aircraft leasing market.

Bill Cumberlidge

Prior to forming CACL with Centrus, Bill was Chairman and CEO of Aviation Partners and prior to that was the Executive Director at KV Aviation. He was the Head of Aviation Asset Management at Allco Finance Group where he held the position since 2003. Bill was also the Managing Director of Pembroke Capital Leasing, and maintained similar responsibilities at Volvo Aero Services (formally the Ages Group) as Executive Vice President, Leasing, Finance and Asset Management and at AAR Corp as Head of Sales and Marketing. He was one of the original founders of Aviation Lease Finance, a joint venture long-term Engine lease company between Volvo Aero Services, Bank of Tokyo Mitsubishi, Engine Lease Finance and the Ages Group.

Max Kingsley-Jones

Max Kingsley-Jones joined the advisory team at Ascend by Cirium in September 2020. Between 2015 and 2020 Max headed up the editorial operation at FlightGlobal as executive director of content. He was appointed as editor of Airline Business magazine in December 2010, having spent 14 years with Flight International, where he ultimately became deputy editor. Max enjoyed a decade working at Ascend’s predecessor Airclaims between 1986 and 1996 in consultancy, analysis and editorial functions. He also had a short spell with Aviation Week magazine in 2010 as International Air Transport Editor.

Before that, Marjan was a Senior Credit Officer in Structured Finance at Moody's where she covered ratings of ABS and RMBS. Marjan began her career as a Senior Banking Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York.

Bénédicte Bedaine-Renault

Bénédicte is Head of Aviation Finance within Natixis covering the Europe, Middle East and African regions since June 2016. Her team, based in Paris and London, covers both airlines and lessors in the regions. Previously, Bénédicte was Relationship Manager within the Aviation team at various levels of seniority and covered airlines and lessor clients in Scandinavia, Turkey, Ireland and Middle East.

Pat Cauthery

Pat has headed up Aerospace & Defence at UK Export Finance since September 2016. Previously he led the department’s strategy development, policy and communications activities as Head of the Chief Executive’s Office. Previously, Abdol served as Executive Vice President of Aviation Systems International, and as Director of Marketing and Sales at C-S Aviation Services. He also served in the United States Navy. He is President of the Wings Club Scholarship Fund and is also a member of the ISTAT Appraiser's Board of Governors.

Sharon Green
Chief Executive Officer, GECAS Materials
Sharon Green currently leads GECAS’ USM subsidiary, GECAS Materials. She began her career at GECAS Materials (formerly The Memphis Group) in 1992 and has held positions of increasing responsibility during the past 28 years. She led the finance function until 2006 when the company was acquired by GECAS. Following the acquisition, Sharon directed the integration effort and subsequently designed and implemented Risk and Compliance protocols for the newly acquired subsidiary. She returned to finance in 2011 as Chief Financial Officer advancing to CEO in 2015.

Rüdiger Heinrich-De Stefano

Rüdiger began his aviation industry career in 1996 when he joined Rolls-Royce Deutschland working in Production support and Sales support. In 2001, he joined MTU where he held various management positions including: Head of Material Planning, Head of Used Parts Purchasing, VP of Material Management for MTU Maintenance Lease Services and his current position of Director Asset Management.

Romain Chambard

Rom has over 16 years’ experience in the commercial aviation industry and is currently Vice President Marketing for Rolls-Royce Civil Aerospace, based in Derby. He oversees the team responsible for products & services marketing and sales campaign support activities. Rom is also leading the interactions between the ISTAT Appraisers community and Rolls-Royce. Since joining Rolls-Royce in 2004, he has held several positions including technical support, engine maintenance, service delivery, business planning and contract management.
